Dear Club Members,

Following on from the Committee Meeting of April 14th, we have updated the dates for your diary as per the below.

Our AGM is on Monday (22nd April), starting at 7pm. As last year it is at The Swan Inn, Great Easton. The formal AGM activities is very short, with the minimal administration necessary for the running of DVCC. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions and offer suggestions about club activities. Please do come along if you are able.

I can also share with you dates of other activities which hopefully you can participate in:
• Sunday 28th April, Gran Fondo; 100km (62mile) ride ideal preparation for those intending to join Ride London. This single route will replace the normal Sunday rides. We will split into speed-based groups on the morning. The route will return to Dunmow, passing a couple of coffee/lunch stops on the way.
• Sunday 12th May, DVCC 8th Birthday Ride; a longer ride which will end at a pub close to Dunmow around 12noon to celebrate our 8th Birthday.
• Sunday 26th May, Ride London; there will be no club rides, however as in the previous 2-years we will have a stand on the High Street to provide support, encouragement, and water to those riding. If you are not riding and can spare time to help out on the stand, please let Andy Calcutt, or any member of the Committee know.
• Sunday 9th June, Ride into Suffolk; we are planning a c80 mile ride into Constable Country.
• Sunday 21st July, summer BBQ; a longer ride followed by a BBQ, full details to follow.
• Wednesday 11th September, Colchester Cycleway; we return for an evening of track cycling with an opportunity to develop group riding skills in a safe and controlled environment starting at 7pm and finishing at 9pm.
• Sunday 13th October, final Gran Fondo of the year; hoping to make the most of the available daylight for a longer ride before winter arrives.

Please note a “Kit Window” will open on the 1st June for 2-weeks. During this period, you will be able to order kit which should be delivered about 6-weeks after the end of the window (end July). DOER Cycles at Blake End have some examples of our kit which can be viewed/purchased.
