Dear Club Members,
Following yesterday’s Committee meeting I have some dates for your diary.
7pm Wednesday 13th September: Colchester Cycle Track, if you have not already signed up and want to go, sign-up now or, if a non-member contact Ewan direct. This will mark the end of the Wednesday evening ride season.
Saturday 16th September, Alan is leading an MTB ride. Please WhatsApp Alan Carter if you wish to join the ride.
Saturday 14th October, Ride Leader training. There are just 3 spaces left. Please contact Ewan for this training if you have not attended before and can spare the time. It is very important to ensure we maintain a high standard of safe, group riding.
Sunday 22nd October, Grand Fondo. Instead of the normal rides we will be having a Grand Fondo (nominally 100km ride). We will be heading into Suffolk, date subject to the weather.
Sunday 29th October. As the clocks change our Sunday start time will go back one hour to 09:30 for the winter.
Friday 17th November will be the annual end of season social/awards evening. More details to follow, but it will be in Dunmow starting at 7.30pm.
January/February 2024, like this year there will be no club rides during this period. Instead we will publish a single “member led” route which will not be cancelled. But equally will not be led.
The meeting also discussed Club Kit. We have agreed to order some DVCC printed kit, this should hopefully be available for you to view in the next 4-6 weeks at DOER Cycles, from where you will be able to order DVCC kit.
